“I began working with Beth 7 months ago and she has completely transformed the way I feel about my body and exercise in general. “Beth is brilliant; her workouts are fun, challenging, responsive and realistic. We’ve worked out together for over a year and I always look forward to our sessions. “I started to work with Beth last summer in the midst of Lockdown 1. I was restless and lethargic all at once, and daily exercise was fast becoming a way to still and calm my body and mind. But daily yoga and a half hearted join in with Joe and my less than enthusiastic kids, was no longer cutting it. I decided to take advantage of this new schedule I found myself in, and commit to weekly sessions with Beth. Truthfully, I probably wouldn't have done this, had we not been under forced house arrest. I have always been active, but I am no gym bunny. I have never lifted anything, except the weight of my children and I had serious doubts that I could hold in the plank for longer than 3 seconds. I have been plagued with back issues since the tender age of 18, and I was VERY cautious about what I felt my body could and couldn't do. So with some trepidation I entered my first session with my 1kgs and a tatty yoga mat. I also made the rookie error of telling Beth, I couldn't do a press up. Her eyes lit with challenge and I knew I was doomed! What I wasn't expecting after that first session, was the rush of endorphins and giddy power I felt, about finally taking proactive steps to make my body strong and powerful. I do not say this lightly, Beth has changed my life and attitude to my body. Almost a year later, I commit to her sessions twice a week, once on a Wednesday zoom class (which is excellent), and once on a Friday solo session. My 1kgs now sit in the corner as I powerfully swing 10kg and lift double that in a deadlift! I still sweat and curse her the whole way through, but I NEVER EVER regret a session. She goes above and beyond too curate a program for the individual and she is a constant support, knowing instinctively what my body can do and what it needs, she also sets my routines around my menstrual cycle, which has been a revelation.
